Once you have completed your MHFA course, you will be certified for three years and will be invited to become a member of our Association of Mental Health First Aiders – making sure you have everything you need to feel confident when supporting others.

Mental Health Aware – This half day course is an introductory four-hour session to raise awareness of mental health. Developed by MHFA England the course gives learners a basic knowledge of common mental health issues.

Mental Health First Aid Refresher – It is recommended that Mental Health First Aiders attend a Refresher course every three years. Developed by MHFA England this course is an four-hour session to refresh your skills in mental health.

What is Mental Health First Aid?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches managers and staff how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide support , reassurance, and guide people to the help they may need on a first aid basis.

MHFA won’t teach you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis.

All our Mental Health First Aid course are delivered by Mental Health First Aid Instructors who are registered by MHFA England to deliver the accredited courses. The Mental Health First Aid Instructors course is accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health.
